Another interesting angle to shoot the waterfall

Exposurewise, I personally prefer this one compared to the earlier one (overexposed). Increasing the contrast/saturation slightly, in my opinion, can further improve the image as it gives the sense of depth, though may lose some details. But too much details can make an otherwise excellent image looks flat or two-dimensional - or may be just my taste
Composition wise, If it is cropped to exclude the man-made structure (platform with railings) on the right and the uninteresting boulders and shrubs on the foreground, the image could give me a completely different feeling (may try a landscape layout). Kalau selepas crop, dia punya foreground ialah tu pokok macam 'tuhau', dan right crop ialah just after the biggest tree di sebelah kanan, saya rasa ngam sebab nampak macam ada 3 layers: 1st, the waterfall; 2nd, the curve formed from the top of the biggest three on the right, down and along the ridge of the boulders, across to the left; 3rd, the pokok 'tuhau' on the foreground. Combined with a properly adjusted contrast/saturation, it would give '3-dimensional effect' - lagi hidup tu gambar.
But it is already a good shot, tapi pasal kau bilang komen maka saya pun barabis lah cari apa mau komen selain daripada simply say excellent shot

I agree. I prefer the contrast for the batu-batuan in the first photo.. but not the overexposed waterfall. Lontugih cuba kau kasi crop lepas tu upload sini kita tengok sample yg kau maksudkan.. saya bayangkan ia alternatif komposisi yg bagus juga

Nanti sa cuba. Tapi lebih bagus saya share one of my favourite image of Mahwa fall, by Rabani. Banyak juga saya belajar dari dia ni, a down to earth Sabahan amateur Photographer. Saya suka dia punya exposure and composition.

Off topic: Dulu dia bilang dia freelancer for news and glossy media. Professionally, he is a system analyst/programmer tapi ndak tau lah sekarang, lama sudah tiada contact. Mungkin juga kerja full time sama Sabah Tourism. Pro bah pula tu kan. I quite admire his works

wah bagus ada topic ni.. ni gambar yg sia tarai-test masa p 1 waterfall d poring last week. ni gambar nda edit/touchup lagi.. dua2 pun pakai tripod. bulih nampak beza 10 saat vs 4 saat kan.. kritikan / komen adalah dialu-alukan ...

Akhirnya berjaya juga Tandaha dapat gambar air terjun yang bagus. Membezakan shutter speed adalah idea yang bagus. Very sharp gambar air terjun. Cuma kalau dapat memasukan keadaan di sekelilingnya pada frame yg sama memang cantik but i like itu aliran air, macam kapas lembut
