I heard that SU-30MKM is strongly similar to India’s SU-30MKI. Like its Indian counterpart, the SU-30MKM is a substantial advance upon the original SU-30K export version. This aircraft is equip modern phased antenna array radar that can tracks 15 targets and attack 4 targets simultaneously. The only difference between the Indian's SU-30MKI and our SU-30MKM is the avionics with the Indian are Israeli-made while ours specialized for our needs, which the avionics of this aircraft are combination of several western countries, Russian and South African made.

So why the Republic of Singapore Air Force's responded to buy the F-15SG and still feel threathen when they knew about the delivery of the SU-30MKM?these are my headbrain's explanation:

A. Operational Range

The F-15SG's Operational range is about 3,900KM, and that with extra external fuel while RMAF's SU-30MKM operational range without any external fuel is about 5,000km, and that is without ANY external fuel tank, remember, extra fuel tanks make the aircraft weapon payload reduced and heavier thus less maneuverable.

B. Maneuverability

SU-30MKM's main advantages is it maneuverability, which the existing F-15SG surely cannot outperform it.more maneuverability means the aircraft is more agile and easier to handle.

C. Operational History

Although both of these aircraft never faced each other in real battle, but the F-15SG closest variant, the F15E Strike Eagle has been shot down 2 times during the 1991 Gulf-War, which these F-15E Strike Eagle has been shot down by Iraqi SAMs (Surface to Air Missiles) and never scores a aircraft to aircraft kill.but this is a world apart from its air superiority variant, the F-15C which had a legendary kill ratio and never been shot down by enemy SAMs or even enemy aircraft. But when these 2 aircraft faced in any battle, it depends on the pilot skills.

D. Electronic Warfare.

The SU-30MKM still can operate under severe jamming environment, yet, the aircraft itself also have little jamming capability, while the F-15 does not, so in electronic warfare, the SU-30MKM gain a upper hand against F-15SG.

Malaysia is a buyer and user of those technologies. I do a minor research and found this journal which discuss about six-legged Soldiers. A few of information as below:

CREEPY CRAWLERS AND TALL TALES

Six-Legged Soldiers: Using Insects as Weapons ofWar. Jeffrey A. Lockwood. Oxford University Press, 2008. 400 pp.,illus. $27.95 (ISBN 9780195333053 cloth).

The use of insects as instruments of warfare and torture dates back some 5000 years and is a testament to the ingenuity and the cruelty of the human species. Jeffrey A. Lockwood, a professor of natural sciences and humanities at the University of Wyoming, makes the history of entomological warfare morbidly entertaining in his book Six-Legged
Soldiers: Using Insects as Weapons of War, thanks to a lively writing style that ranges from the sardonic to the arch. But Lockwood falls short as a historian by relying on secondary sources of dubious accuracy and by accepting at face value several apocryphal tales that at best strain credulity and at worst reopen settled controversies.

Six-Legged Soldiers describes three different types of entomological warfare: employing insects for direct attacks
against humans, as vectors for transmitting infectious diseases, and as agricultural pests to destroy food crops. Two
additional chapters focus on the utility of insects for defensive purposes (such as the use of fireflies to detect chemical
nerve agents) and as models for the development of futuristic military robots.

Ya betul.. Masing ada kekuatan sendiri. Tapi bg saya yg palung penting Malaysia harus pertahankan kedaulatannya supaya tak dicerobohi oleh pihak lain :)
