About SabahForum.com

When I visit a website especially one that created by a fellow Sabahan, my curiosity would typically lead me to the About Us page as I try to get to know the person behind the website. And that’s probably what brought you here.

The idea to create this website came in 2004. While there were already several Sabah online forums existed in 2004, there's probably only a handful that really took the effort in trying to establish themselves or attempt to become the destination of choice online. I saw a vacuum to fill and the time was perfect to create such website.

The domain SabahForum.com was available and I thought it’s the perfect name for a Sabahan community based website, then the rest as they say is history. Our aim is to become the ultimate online destination for Sabahans seeking to get involved with a great Sabahan community on the Internet. Hopefully we are getting there as we move forward.

The second version of the website was launched on 24th June 2008, just 4 days after SabahForum.com fourth anniversary. Version 2 utilises the open source Joomla content management system and phpBB3 forum software. The website and forum are maintained by us and a team of moderator who work hard to ensure everything runs smoothly.
